I have always been fascinated by sunrise and sunsets. It is most impressive and thrilling to witness and experience. Wherever I have traveled I look for an opportunity to capture the beautiful sight of the sun rising signaling the start of a new day or a glorious sunset heralding the end of a beautiful day. A sunrise gives us new hope and new beginnings. It brings joy to the heart and energizes us all. As the sun descends below the horizon, creating mesmerizing colors, red and orange across the sky, for us all to take in and rejuvenates for the day to follow. 

I have several stories of the excitement and joys of trying to be in the right place and the right time to capture these moments. I remember when we were visiting the Grand Canyon many years ago, I woke up at 4.30 and drove an hour into the park to be at the right spot to capture the glorious sunrise at the canyon. The moment lasted only a few minutes. As the sun came up on the horizon, it filled the canyon with its bright rays and created this magical shimmering effect very hard to capture in any picture. An experience I will remember forever. Sunsets are equally mesmerizing and thrilling. A recent experience at the sunset point in Rehoboth Beach was memorable. The entire experience lasted about an hour or so. At every stage of the sun going down over the horizon, it created magical moments that we were able to enjoy and capture in pictures that allow us to relive the joy of the moment.

Every sunrise and sunset is a unique experience. I still vividly remember every one of the experiences. The purple haze in the sky while sun was going down over the ocean in Jamaica and mystical aura of the rising sun in Bali are unforgettable. These are amazing creations of nature for us to enjoy and experience.
